About the role
To own and drive efficiency, productivity and operational performance of the Madrid Hub through effective management of suppliers, equipment and operational resources. The role ensures that local operational standards, processes and resources are optimised end-to-end, enabling a productive and efficient cargo operation aligned with IAG Cargo global frameworks and Spanish regulations.
What you’ll do
Madrid Hub Efficiency:
Leverage operational performance metrics and insights to frame, prioritize and drive Madrid hub efficiency initiatives.
Lead the continuous improvement of operational processes to increase productivity, simplifying workflows, eliminating bottlenecks and improving service resilience.
Act as a key operational partner to the Head of the Madrid Hub, providing insights and recommendations to support performance, efficiency and decision-making. Lead business cases and presentations decks to support the Head of MAD hub with IACG director’s board.
Propose and implement process improvements in the Madrid Cargo Hub Operation.
Suppliers’ management for the MAD Hub Operation:
To manage a portfolio of suppliers which performs part of the Madrid Cargo Hub Operation (including MASA trucks, South ramp, equipment maintenance, etc ).
Maintain close day-to-day control of supplier performance against agreed SLAs, KPIs and service levels, ensuring operational continuity, safety and quality. Work closely with Procurement in the renewal, negotiation and performance management of supplier contracts providing operational input and accountability.
Production Planning, owning the optimisation of staff rostering and operational resource deployment, ensuring alignment with operational demand, productivity targets, training requirements and compliance within the frameworks defined by planning.
Handling equipment fleet management of the Madrid Hub cargo operation (dollies, forklifts, etc, including purchase, maintenance, stock and utilization levels). Additionally, third-party handling ULD local reporting and management.

Proficient user of MS Office, with advanced Excel skills.

Quick learner
Skills and Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in managing suppliers, supply chain processes or operations, warehouse or similar. Project management could be an option.
Experience in the cargo airline industry desirable
