About the role
Enhance business relationships with senior management of Global Key Accounts in the North American region and maximize business opportunities through direct customer interface in line with IAG Cargo business plan objectives.
What you’ll do
- Be responsible for generating revenue from a set of key customers in North America, including Canada who either have large pan-regional presence and/or are domiciled in the region.
- Your administrative responsibility will include the use of IAG Cargo’s CRM for sales call plans and reporting, maintaining up to date account information, developing actions plans for their assigned territory, developing quarterly action plans and sales call reports and providing market intelligence in the form of reports and ad hoc market feedback to the Global Key Account Manager.
- It will be important to closely with internal sales team members to deliver the key regional commercial initiatives via relationship management, direct sales propositions and marketing campaigns.
- Deliver annual account targets defined in terms of revenue, market share, QNNR and product growth linking into corresponding targets for region.
- Ensure customer focus and delivery is maintained through monthly measurement & communications via monthly business review meetings with the customers.
- Develops sales call patterns which are consistent with area business objectives and reflect effective time and territory management to maximize customer interaction and customer interface.
- Negotiates short, medium and long-term pricing initiatives to mutual benefit which are consistent with Area and Regions revenue goals and pricing guidelines.
- Develops action plans consistent with Area and Regions objectives and strategy.

What you’ll bring to IAG Cargo:
This role requires knowledge that is not limited to simply managing your customers capacity and pricing needs. It will also be important for you to have a deep understanding of influences outside of IAG Cargo’s control.
This includes the impact that geopolitical instability has on the global supply chain such as trade wars, sanctions, political unrest that can disrupt the global supply chain.
Also, you will need to understand the impact of overall economic volatility. This includes currency fluctuations, global inflation or recessions. Other important qualifications include :
- Proven track record of account management and experienced at negotiating contracts
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills and ability to influence client management
- Ability to deliver solutions to complex, cross-functional issues
- Strong customer orientation, capable of generating respect among customers of all size in all of the relevant markets and cultures.
- Numerical literacy and strong analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing and negotiations skills

- Must hold, or be predicted, a 2:2 degree or above (or equivalent), within the last ten years from any degree discipline.
- Willing to work in different locations and business functions, duty travel and/or shift work may be required depending on placement.
