About the role
The Constant Climate Sales Manager serves as the regional subject matter expert on IAG Cargo's Constant Climate product, offering specialised support to Freight Forwarders and Pharmaceutical shippers in planning and executing high-value, time and temperature-sensitive Constant Climate shipments across the IAG network. Internally, this role provides in-depth product knowledge and guidance to regional sales teams, revenue management and operations on all aspects of the Constant Climate product.
To give context, the UKIE Constant Climate Sales Manager is part of a small specialist team within the broader UKIE sales structure. The role works across geographies, cultures and jurisdictions within a dynamic, fast-moving sales environment that necessitates a high level of customer contact.
This context is reflected in four ways:
- Accountabilities are adaptive to changes in the sales environment
- In addition to primary accountabilities, the role provides a support function - including but not limited to bookings, billing support and basic administration - to ensure continuous customer coverage when needed
- The post holder is expected to be in the office or with customers during normal working hours, and from time to time will be required to attend work functions and meetings outside normal working hours.
- The post holder is expected to travel frequently – up to 50% of the time – both domestically and internationally, often at short notice
What you’ll do
- Grow Constant Climate revenue across key regional accounts in UK, Ireland & Europe
- Provide market insight into pharmaceutical logistics and cold chain trends
- Collaborate with Sales and Support teams to unlock synergy and drive customer performance
- Champion the Constant Climate portfolio, identifying and converting new opportunities
- Deliver tonnage, QNNR, and yield targets aligned with a predetermined budget
- Manage timely, effective, and competitive tender responses
- Provided trusted counsel through technical expertise and industry knowledge
- Ensure regulatory compliance and service excellence across all shipments
- Coordinate bookings and space protection with Sales and Revenue Management
- Track and report performance metrics weekly
- Support customer strategies and business development initiatives
- Lead engagement with key industry associations and stakeholder organisations
- Manage customer database, pricing updates, and marketing communications
- Host facility tours and represent the product at forums and seminars
- Provide team support during absences to maintain customer coverage

Skills and Experience:
Essential Experience
- Experience in sales or commercial operations gained in an airline, freight forwarder, ocean, trucking, inhouse logistics, or similar environment
- Experience presenting to and managing stakeholders across all levels of organisation
- Experience in proposal and tender management
- Experience working in a revenue driven, corporate environment
- Experience in budgeting, revenue tracking and performance reporting
Desirable Experience
- Experience in Constant Climate/Pharmaceutical sales gained in an airline, freight forwarder or similar would be highly advantageous
- In depth understanding of Pharmaceutical industry participants, trade flows and/or regulations would be highly regarded
- Experience managing remote customers, teams and other stakeholders
- Fluency in one or more European languages
