About the role
As the Africa Regional Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for developing the commercial strategy and leading a team focused on maximising sales opportunities and driving revenue growth and reach across all channels
What you’ll do
- Develop and execute the Africa sales strategy in alignment with the overall business objectives of IAG Cargo.
- Lead a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, support, and direction to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with key customers at a regional level.
- Manage successful partnerships with customers and suppliers across Africa and work closely with Procurement to negotiate terms to ensure best of cost of sale for IAGC.
- Plan, execute and evaluate sales initiatives, also monitoring the performance of core business KPIs.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and market dynamics to maintain a competitive edge.
- Implement robust performance management in conjunction with sound career and succession planning mechanisms.

Experience

- Experience of interfacing with external and internal stakeholders.
- Proven ability to deliver objectives on time and to budget.
- Experience of championing a change agenda.
- Experience with CRM (Salesforce) preferred.
- Air cargo industry experience preferred
