About the role
Reporting to the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, IAG Cargo is seeking a proven and experienced strategical oriented individual to fill the senior management position of UKI & Europe Regional Commercial Manager (RCM). This role plays a critical part in the delivery of our home carrier position and the delivery of the financial plan through effective leadership and sales management.
As the UKI & Europe RCM, you will be responsible for developing the sales, customer and business strategies that will position IAG Cargo as the market leader in the UKI and as the most attractive alternative for continental Europe. You will be leading and coaching a diverse team focused on maximising sales opportunities, driving revenue growth and reach across all channels, while focusing on implementing actions which will reduce our Cost of Sale.
More business is being tendered and flowing between Europe / UK&I, you will be responsible for developing a holistic strategy across the London Hub and the Europe countries while growing our carrier position. You will also be responsible for the design and implementation of strategies which will make IAG Cargo a digital first carrier.
What you’ll do
- Develop and execute the UKI and European sales strategy in alignment with the overall business objectives of IAG Cargo.
- Act as the IAGC representative at the C-level for designated customer and organisations.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with key regional customers, with regular duty travel required.
- Manage successful partnerships with customers and suppliers across the regions collaborating closely with Procurement to negotiate terms to ensure best of cost of sale for IAGC.
- Plan, execute and evaluate sales initiatives while monitoring the performance of core business KPIs.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, markets dynamics, and competitor activities and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to drive sales growth in UKI and Europe.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Regional Sales, Digital Sales, Business Management, Marketing, Distribution, Revenue Management, IT, Operations, and Customer Service to ensure delivery of targets.
- Implement robust performance management in conjunction with sound career and succession planning mechanisms.
- Accountable to comply with UK, Ireland and Europe regulation.
- Representing IAGC in the countries, POA as per country requirements.
- Build organisational capability and promote the IAGC culture and values both internally across the teams and externally developing strong change management skills.
- ABO for strategic projects across Sales and wider business
- Stakeholder in key Steering Groups
- Experience of successful change management, from concept to delivery
- Identification of cost synergies

- Air cargo industry experience is preferred.
